Our Story

Born in Australia and now creating from London, I’ve always found my greatest inspiration in movement — exploring new places, cultures, and stories. After years in the rhythm of a corporate 9-to-5, I began craving something more meaningful — a creative outlet that reflected freedom, individuality, and adventure.

Jewellery had always been my quiet passion. I would design and make pieces for myself and friends, each one a small reminder of moments and milestones. Eventually, that love for making turned into the vision for Bessie Bae — a brand built on courage, curiosity, and connection.

The spark came during a trip to New York, when I came across a U.S. quarter honouring Bessie Coleman — the first African American and Native American woman to earn a pilot’s licence. Her fearless determination deeply inspired me, and that moment influenced the name Bessie Bae — a reminder to live boldly and unapologetically.

Today, every Bessie Bae piece is handcrafted in London from sterling silver and natural gemstones, inspired by the spirit of exploration. Each bracelet and necklace carries a sense of possibility — a little reminder to chase dreams, embrace adventure, and wear your story with pride.
